Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset - Nickel Review

I have a Motorola e815, and was using a Motorola hs850 headset (see my review). That headset was compact and easy to use, but felt very wobbly, and the sound quality (especially receiving volume) left something to be desired. I got the h500, and I really love it!

First, it’s volume is much better than my previous headset. When the environment is noisy, I can hear my call! The transmitter is about the same quality-not as good as a wired unit, but good enough to be heard on the other end. A big plus here is that when the phone rings, there is a tone in the headset when it’s one also. The HS850 didn’t have one, and if you miss the ringtone, you miss the call. This backup tone has alerted me several times before I was aware of the phone itself.

Second, the earpiece is better designed and more comfortable. It has a small notch that fits over the front curve of your ear, that aligns the mic on your ear. The earpiece, while thin, doesn’t feel as flimsy as my previous Motorola, which always felt like it was ready to flop around at the slightest motion. While it’s not rock solid, it feels much more secure.

HTC Touch Diamond 4 GB Unlocked Cell Phone with 3G Review

I’ve been playing around with a US-spec unit while considering replacing my Sony Ericsson W580i with a modern smart phone.

The Diamond is a simple but elegant looking device with a beautiful graphic interface. Easily my favorite aspect of it is the weather and messaging displays…they just look wonderful.

The physical device features a stylus held in place by a magnet, which comes out easily and automatically lights up the screen. The system locks once the backlight times out. You hit the “Power” button to light it back up, but I’m finding that whenever I hit that button, the back cover tends to slide up. The back just isn’t that secure on my unit.

The touch screen is okay, but I find things popping up I didn’t expect, particularly while entering in URL’s on Internet Explorer. Once pages load, you can zoom in and scroll around pages on the screen, a function I found works clunky at best.

Samsung Memoir 8 MP Camera Phone, Black (T-Mobile) Review

My friend and I both got this phone from our local T-mobile store. We like it but their is a problem with picture messaging. Many times when you send a picture message the person receiving it will get it where the top half of the picture is off center with the bottom half of the picture. The first store we went to had to return their 1st batch of 6 phones as they all had this problem. When we picked two phones up from another store and they worked OK in a test in the store but now mine does it in about once every 5 pictures messages and my friends does it almost every time. I called samsung and the rep there had a memoir and he tried a picture message and the same thing happened to him! So he is filing a report about the problem. So this phone is not ready for prime time and we will be returning ours. When this gets resolved we will buy it from amazon and save some bucks.

Premium White Rapid Car Charger (with IC CHIP) for Apple iPhone 3G Review

This charger is truly a rapid one! I was doubtful that it would work very well considering the price, but it has worked perfectly for nearly 2 months now. The cord is short if you plan on using the phone while plugged in, but I heard you’re not supposed to use ANY phone while charging (for safety reasons). I have had NO troubles with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

I will start this review off by saying the the MotoZINE is really kind of a cool phone. It has a certain “wow” factor. The 5 megapixel camera is great, it’s actually a better camera then most 5 mp standalone digital cameras. It’s a beautiful phone too, and has quite a few cool features.

Otterbox Defender Semi-rugged Case for iPhone 3G Review

The case is a perfect fit & well designed. Every opening & button/switch is protected. This will not fit into any dock but for me that is not an issue. The touch screen is not inhibited by the built in screen protector. The “watermark” issue with screen protector is easily remedied. Search youtube for this product & there you will find an excellent video by itsmemorpheus The speakers are not muffled. My phone has been dropped, knocked off my desk, splashed on & their is not one blemish or change in functionality. If you are concerned about fully protecting your precious iPhone like I am then look no further this is the case for you.
