This charger is truly a rapid one! I was doubtful that it would work very well considering the price, but it has worked perfectly for nearly 2 months now. The cord is short if you plan on using the phone while plugged in, but I heard you’re not supposed to use ANY phone while charging (for safety reasons). I have had NO troubles with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

This item is very light and transportable. The retractable power cord is a nice convenience and keeps the cord organized. The recharger powers my Tungsten E2 PDA, Samsung Rant cell phone, Ipod Classic (6th gen.), and Nintendo DS Lite. I threw away the bulky factory transformers that came along with my electronics items, which reduced the clutter and weight of my laptop rolling case.
The included mesh travel pouch to store tips and the recharger is too small and a useless accessory that can be thrown away. The Case Logic Model #TBC3 with barcode #085854065092 is ideal for storing this recharger and accessories.

The Blackberry Bold has an overheating issue when plugging into wall and or using the usb port in a computer. I purchased my bold on 12/26/2008 and when I charged it (using the included charging cord), it overheated. I was hot once I finished charging it and it became progressively hotter as time went on. So I removed the battery and placed it back in. It then cooled down but the battery was drained. I charged it again and had the same issue. I took it back to the AT&T store and let them feel it for themselves they could feel the heat right through the box. They replaced it but the same thing happened to the replacement. I called the store and they told me to call AT&T about this. AT&T told me that they knew nothing about this issue.

As an earlier review noted, plug in this charger and nothing happens. My Motorola RAZR doesn’t even see it. I ordered two; neither would charge my phone. (One of them rattled; something loose inside.) Contrary to what another review said, this charger is *not* the same as the one that came with my phone; though similar, it is not the same, and it has a different model number (see the label on the charger itself). I also ordered a car charger but I’m not going to risk using it on my phone. Did I return these items? No, I just threw them away, because at these prices, with shipping and handling both ways *not* refunded, I’d probably lose even more money returning them. (Too bad we can’t give a “0 star” rating.)

I’ve been a Blackberry user for just about 4 years now: August will be 4 years. If there one thing I found with the Blackberry is that THE CHARGE OUTLET (on the side) BREAKS VERY EASILY.
With the BB’s you have two choices: either pay the $125 to repair or buy a new model if you don’t have the renewal discount. It just so happened that, that little doohicky actually fell out of my 7100 one week after the first-year warranty was over. Until recently, I had to compromise by getting my sister’s discarded 7100 kept that plugged in and swapping batteries every night when I came home– because her 7100 had a different malfunction that made her phone inoperable.
