I will start this review off by saying the the MotoZINE is really kind of a cool phone. It has a certain “wow” factor. The 5 megapixel camera is great, it’s actually a better camera then most 5 mp standalone digital cameras. It’s a beautiful phone too, and has quite a few cool features.

Some people need to learn to read the review on the website they’re buying their products from. Apparently a few reviewers went to the Motorola website and just assumed that everything listed on the spec page would be included with the phone sold from this site.
The review clearly states it comes with 512MB of NON-upgradable memory. It clearly states there is NO SD or MicroSD expansion slot. It doesn’t mention a touchscreen. This phone does everything the review states. It’s over $80 less than one bought directly from Motorola and you’d think people would understand why that is.
We buy these phones because we don’t want to be tied to long-term contracts. This in turn means some of the phones more advanced or even desirable features will be missing. The phone is capable of 2GB of storage, but only if you buy one directly from a carrier like AT&T. The benefits of doing so include getting more memory and few extra features, the drawback is you will be tied to a 2 or 3 year contract, with the full price of the phone (usually inflated to several times the actual retail cost) due if you decide to break it.

I wanted a phone that had good battery life, a reasonable form factor and was dependable; I have a camera and mp3 player, so I don’t need them on my phone as well. My previous phone was a terrific Sony Ericsson W580, but lost the battle with the washing machine…The unlocked Motorola V197 set up with no problems with my ATT sim card and connected easily with Motorola Bluetooth. I have had no problems and the battery life is very, very good, as is the reception. If you want a phone that is simply a phone, I can highly recommend this one.

PROS: As I write this review, QuickTime Pro is in the background converting episodes of The Office to MPEG-4 to watch on my new RIZR (yes, it works beautifully). I bought a 2Gb microSD card as well so I’ve got plenty of storage available. I’m THRILLED that I didn’t have to sign up for another 2 years with at&t. I own a Mac, and SallingClicker (Google it) works flawlessly as a remote control for the computer.

All I wanted was a simple phone that worked well and didn’t cost a lot of money. That is exactly what I got with the Motofone F3. The phone I received was originally intended for use in Mexico and the box had been opened, but the phone was in new condition. I inserted my AT&T SIM card, powered the phone up and was greeted by a voice prompt instructing me to press 1 for English. After setting the time and date the phone was ready to use.

I was pleased that the Motofone F3 got better reception in my signal-challenged house than my old Samsung phone. My phone is my watch, so I appreciate that the time is clearly visible on the electronic ink display. A quick internet search will provide a list of configuration codes that can be used to modify phone settings.
Motorola developed this phone for use in emerging markets, so the simple menu system is based on icons and optional voice prompts assist navigation. I haven’t disassembled the phone, but it feels like the internal electronics are shock-mounted. The phone fits in my hand well and is solidly built. I like its ease of use, good call quality, speakerphone and long battery life. The one feature I do wish it had is mute. This phone is capable of text messaging, but I don’t consider it suitable for anything but occasional use.
If you like camera phones, phones as fasion accessories or do a lot of texting this phone is not for you. But if you need a simple, low-cost phone, this one is worth considering.

I had the mic on the Voyager 510 crap out on me in November. I used Plantronic’s website to e-mail the problem and the service tech gave some ideas for fixes. After none of the fixes worked, I returned the product and they replaced it with a brand new one for free. I beat this thing up for several hours a day, so while I wasn’t pleased about the mic dying, I was very pleased with the Plantronics service. After sending my old headset in, I had a new one within a week.

Original Review
This is a review of the Plantronics Voyager 510 based on my comparative experience with this headset against a Motorola H500 - possibly the most popular headset out there. It was/is being used with a Motorola E815 cell phone on the Verizon Wireless network. I am on the cell phone for business over 1000 minutes per month.
Comfort:
I’ve seen a few reviews where this headset is less comfortable. Compared to the Motorola H500, I think it’s much more comfortable as it’s more flexible (doesn’t look like it in the pictures though). The grasp of the ear clip is not as strong, and that means it might feel a bit less secure on your ear, but it’s also wearable for long periods of time. The Motorola H500 was tight enough on my ear that after 30 minutes, the pressure on the back of my ear was painful - not good when conference calls are usually over 30 minutes long. Additionally, with 3 sizes for the ear-piece, once I got the correct size attached to the Voyager 510, it helped make the whole set fit more snugly and securely.
