LG KF900 Prada II Review

I bought the original LG Prada (KE850) as a birthday gift my wife last year. It was a very fashionable and stylish looking phone, which my wife (in her early 30s) loves, but the reception and the missing 850Mhz band left something to be desired on the AT&T wireless network, which is reasonable as this phone was never intended for the US market. It would probably work better on T-Mobile US network (since they don’t use 850 band). We ended up returning it because of that. Mind you, the software on this phone is very simple and basic, which is perfect for my wife since she hardly text and rarely used anything else.

I was excited when the Prada II is announced and it comes with quad-band this time (however, 3G would only work outside of US)! However, I was disappointed as soon as I found out they decided to add a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Seeing in person (at CES) how much thicker the new phone turned me off. It has gained 40% in thickness (16.8mm versus the older but slimmer 12mm Prada I) and slightly taller than the old phone (quarter inch). The “Ooze” factor of the original Prada phone is gone. This new phone would be a good choice for these who texts often but doesn’t want another me-too looking phones. However, for my wife, the weight-gain is a deal-breaker.

Ten One Design T1-AF25-101 Pogo Stylus for iPhone 3G Review

Review 1

I purchased 2 of these, 1 for myself and 1 for my 13 year old daughter. They work pretty good. You have to hold it upright, it doesn’t work if you have the sylus held at an angle. So that is one thing you have to get use to.

The pen is also pretty bulky, not like your normal smaller stylus pens. I have a hard time figuring out where to put it because it will not fit in the case. You can’t use the clip that comes with it if you have your ipod in a case.

Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Phone, Red (T-Mobile) Review

I bought Nokia 5610 about 5 months ago after I got tired of Samsung T429. I was looking for a new cell phone which had to have two best qualifications: great camera phone and great graphics. It was esential for me to be able to send high quality pictures. Also, I can’t live without playing chess and chess program I had in my old Samsung T-429 had poor graphics and used to freeze up very often while playing.

PICTURE QUALITY with this Nokia is exceptional- I took with it a picture of a local park and you couldn’t tell while viewing with Windows gallery on my pc- that the picture was taken with cell phone, not with high quality point-n-shoot camera. I like this feature also: when sending picture, if it takes too many KB’s, it allows you automatically to make it smaller. Very minor thing is- it would have been nice for Nokia to put small mirror so one could see himself/herself while taking picture.

I will start this review off by saying the the MotoZINE is really kind of a cool phone. It has a certain “wow” factor. The 5 megapixel camera is great, it’s actually a better camera then most 5 mp standalone digital cameras. It’s a beautiful phone too, and has quite a few cool features.

Pros:
BROWSER! Awesome, quick, faster than my friends’ blackberry 8900 when performing the same search.
Touchscreen. I had a Samsung Behold for two days before I returned it and went for the G1. The G1 screen is SO much more responsive and so easy to use. Scroll Ball. SOOOO much better than my Curve’s scroll bar. And it doesn’t get dirty so easily.

(T-Mobile) BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 Phone Review

This is my first Blackberry phone, so I don’t have anything to compare it to except the standard cell phone that I had previously, which was a Sony Ericson (great phone also by the way).

There are some real drawbacks with this phone, such as the limited Edge Network, which definitely doesn’t compete with the T-Mobile’s standard network as far as coverage. I deducted one star for this, because this is an area of weakness that should be improved. That is really the one thing I wish I was different, but the benefits of this phone far outweigh that drawback. To be fair, I’ve talked to people with other Blackberries and this is a problem with the Blackberry network, not this particular phone.

(T-Mobile) BlackBerry Curve 8320 Phone, Sunset Version Review

Review 1

I purchased this phone in August right after the Sunset version of the Blackberry Curve was released. It’s my first Blackberry and my first smart phone (I upgraded from a Motorola Razr). I really wanted to love this phone, but I don’t. Despite its sleek appearance and numerous cool features, this Crackberry is not at all what it’s cracked up to be (pun intended).
